Woman gets citation for stealing from the Apple store

On June 26, at about 5:52 p.m.

Officers responded to a radio call for service at the Apple Store 1415 3rd Street Promenade regarding a theft suspect in custody. Officer arrived and spoke with loss prevention staff. Officers determined that loss prevention monitored the subject as she selected several items for the sales floor. As she selected the merchandise, a second subject appeared to be concealing the suspect’s actions. The suspect exited the store without paying for any merchandise. The suspect was detained outside of the store. Approximately $160 worth of merchandise was recovered from the suspect. The store was desirous of prosecution. Desyree Danielle Holguin, 21, from Los Angeles, was issued a citation for shoplifting.
