Q-Line asks readers whether a subway or monorail should link downtown LA to Santa Monica

Published:

Officials are giving renewed consideration to construction of a subway line that would run from downtown Los Angeles to the beaches of Santa Monica. Leaders at City Hall say they are generally supportive of the 15-mile underground transit line that would free up commuters from freeway gridlock, though there is some debate as to exactly what path the transit line should take. Some officials say a monorail system might make more sense for the area.

So this week, Q-Line wants to know, “If plans for a mass-transit line between downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica go forward, what shape should they take?”
