Parham will speak on “Building for Eternity: Educational Foundations that Nurture Young Minds” on Feb. 21 at 11:15 a.m. in the SMC Concert Hall, 1900 Pico Blvd. The talk is free, but seating is limited and is on a first-arrival basis. For information, call (310) 434-4303.

The talk is cosponsored by the SMC Associated Students and SMC Associates, a private organization that funds speakers and special programs on campus.

Parham is currently the assistant vice chancellor of counseling and health services at the University of California at Irvine, as well as director of the counseling center and an adjunct faculty member.
