Topanga Elementary's Topanga Tropics silent auction set for March 5

Cancel your Caribbean vacation — the islands are coming to Topanga. “Topanga Tropics” is the theme for this year’s TEP Silent Auction, the annual blow-out that provides the community with the opportunity to cut loose, cop some great stuff at bargain prices and support Topanga Elementary School.

Organizers say the drinks and food will be festive and laid back, island-style, and world-renowned reggae band Urban Dread will be laying down the reggae, calypso and salsa grooves. Attire is whatever feels good to you, or you can follow the lead of event organizer Marilyn Samorski, who will be wearing a grass skirt and a couple of coconut shells.

The event is on Saturday, March 5, from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Community BRIEFS, from page 3 Has an ‘E-dition!’
