The Ruskin Group Theatre is pleased to present “Openings” — an exhibit of Masha Steiner’s often playful and always soulful, paintings — March 11 through late April.
An opening reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 11 at the theater, which is located at 3000 Airport Dr. at Santa Monica Airport. Steiner, who teaches movement at the Ruskin School of Acting in Santa Monica, draws, in her more figurative works, on “imagery from her first memories of the theater as a child in postwar Hungary,” said Amelia Mulkey, gallery curator. “Her abstract, geometric works are visual interpretations of what it is to glimpse into the opening of one’s soul. Masha employs a more organic abstract style to visually describe the experience of being on stage and dance.”
Hours of the exhibit are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Ample free parking is available. For further information, call (310) 397-3244 or go to http://www.ruskingrouptheatre.com.
