Children ages 5 and up, along with their families, are invited to a performance of scenes from the popular children’s book “By the Great Horn Spoon” at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., on Sunday, March 19, at 2 p.m.
The book has been adapted for the stage by its author, Santa Monica resident and Newbery Medalist Sid Fleischman, who will be present for a question and answer session following the performance.
Actors from the Morgan-Wixson Theater in Santa Monica will perform scenes from the classic tale of adventure during the California Gold Rush in the library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium.
