The Santa Monica College Music Department will present an eclectic lineup of concerts in April, covering a wide range of musical styles. All concerts will be held in the SMC Concert Hall, 1900 Pico Blvd.
The lineup is as follows: ■Sunday, April 2 at 4 p.m.: SMC Jazz Band, under Keith Fiddmont. (Tickets are $10) ■Tuesday, April 4 at 11:15 a.m.: Nora Chiang Piano Recital. (Free) ■Thursday, April 20 at 11:15 a.m.: SMC Jazz Band Vocalists with Jon Mayer, under the baton of Keith Fiddmont. (Free) ■Sunday, April 23 at 4 p.m.: SMC Concert Band, under the baton of Kevin McKeown. (Tickets are $10) ■Friday, April 28 at 8 p.m.: SMC Jazz Vocal Ensemble Concert, under the direction of Cindy Bourquin. (Tickets are $10) ■Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m.: Benefit Concert for the SMC Applied Music Program, under the direction of Frank Turner.
