Children can get a shot in the arm this weekend. On Saturday, April 1, in partnership with Saint John’s Health Center, Westside Family Health Center’s Shots for Tots & Teens will provide free immunizations and TB skin tests to all infants, adolescents and teenagers under the age of 18.
California law requires that all children must have up-to-date shot records to attend school or child care centers. The immunizations will protect against diphtheria, hepatitis B, measles, rubella, hemophilus influenza, mumps, polio, tetanus and whooping cough — diseases known to infect small children, as well as teenagers.
The event will occur from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westside Family Health Center, 1711 Ocean Park Blvd. For more information, call (310) 450-2191. Beach fun may require paperwork
