“I WOULD DEFINITELY RECALL FIVE councilmembers: Richard Bloom, Bob Holbrook, Herb Katz, Pam O’Connor and Bobby Shriver. They do not represent the residents of the city, but they seem to be representing some outside interests. And even Ken Genser on the tree issue doesn’t seem to be listening to the people. We need councilmembers who listen to the people of this city.”
“THEY ARE SO NON-RESPONSIVE TO THE desires of the residents, I would recall every one of them except Kevin McKeown. All of them, except McKeown, voted to kill the trees. They all need to be removed except McKeown.”
“I WOULD RECALL ALL CITY COUNCIL members with the exception of Kevin McKeown. Their incredible arrogance, they’re anti-science, they’re anti-environmental. They’re attacking all the trees all over Santa Monica, not just on Second and Fourth streets. People are going to be surprised in the future. Their total disregard of 8,000 signatures of people who want to keep the trees of all the businesses, of all the neighborhoods associations. They’re acting more like royalty than City Council people, and they should all be recalled.”
“I’D RECALL BOBBY SHRIVER BECAUSE he’s a hypocrite. He’s for hedges but not for trees. I’d also recall Ken Genser. How can somebody be so smart and be so dumb when it comes to trees?”
“QUITE FRANKLY, I DON’T TRUST MOST of the City Council. And if we had to recall any of them, it would be a toss up between Bob Holbrook and Herb Katz. I don’t trust either one. I think they’re in the pockets of the developers. It’s Holbrook or Katz. I don’t trust either one. I can’t stand them.”
“THE PERSON WHO SHOULD RESIGN should be councilmember Pam O’Connor for two reasons. One, allegedly she used metro funds for bicycles and valet parking in Santa Monica. Number two, because she has a personal vendetta against Kevin McKeown to block him to become mayor.”
“EVERYBODY SHOULD BE FIRED EXCEPT for Kevin McKeown. He’s the only person who cares about the people, the only person who fights for the people. All the other members, their only agenda is their pocketbook.”
“SORRY, I CAN’T PICK ONE councilmember in response to your question. I think they’re all guilty of ruining Santa Monica.”
