Local recommendations on aging policy will be read in Santa Monica before they’re read at the White House.
Dr. Monika White, CEO of the Center for Healthy Aging, will report on recommendations to be submitted to the president and Congress on the 2005 White House Conference on Aging in order to help guide the national aging policies for the next 10 years.
White will talk about her experience at the conference, the top resolutions to be submitted and what those efforts mean as 78 million baby boomers are turning 60 in the coming years.
The event, hosted by Partnership with God, is to be held at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 23 at Simkins Hall, First United Methodist Church of Santa Monica. The church is located on 11th Street between California and Washington avenues. Bridge classes available
