This weekend you could give life for free. Brentwood Presbyterian Church is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive. In Southern California, 60 percent of the blood needed is imported from other parts of the United States, and only 3 percent of Southern Californians donate blood, according to the American Red Cross.
The blood drive will take place this Sunday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, and refreshments will be provided. Bring a photo I.D.
