INSIDE COOKING Geoffrey Dunn Leslie McKenna (center left), chef from Chefs Inc., and Diane Mohilef, chef from A Day In The Kitchen, confer while judging the C-CAP (Careers Through Culinary Arts Program) Los Angeles Cooking Competition for Scholarships at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California on Friday. The competition featured 28 Los Angeles high school students vying for full and partial scholarships — ranging from $500 to $80,000 — to various culinary schools. The students prepared poulet chasseur avec pommes de terre chateau and crepes sucrees with creme patissiere and sauce de chocolate, and were judged by top local chefs in their techniques, skills, taste, and presentation. Students had to memorize the recipes and prepare the meal within a two-hour time limit. The results will be revealed today at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
