Move over Fred Astaire. Dance Camera West continues to entertain the public with their Los Angeles International Film Festival. A highlight of the DCW festival, according to officials, is the three different experimental short film programs, featuring 17 new works from artists such as Great Britain’s Lloyd Newson from DV8 Physical Theater, Belgium’s Thierry DeMey and Canada’s Marie Chouinard. Los Angeles will be represented by David Rousseve, Monica Gillette and Hassan Christopher, among others. The full list of films, as well as locations, is available at www.dancecamerawest.org/schedule3.htm.
