The Activist Support Circle, an emotional support group for progressive activists, is continuing its public gatherings in order to assist activists.

The Activist Support Circle, which started in February, provides a supportive opportunity for longtime and just-beginning progressive activists of all ages to guard against activist burnout and to share and discuss their activist-related frustrations and fears as well as their activist-related hopes and aspirations.

Facilitating the June 29 gathering will be psychotherapists Dr. Eva Kataja and Dr. Joel Isaacs.

Activist Support Circle founder Jerry Rubin says the Activist Support Circle June 29 gathering will kick off a “summer of support” for progressive activists. There is no charge to attend the Activist Support Circle gatherings. The venue is wheelchair accessible and free parking is available on-site or along Santa Monica Boulevard.

The Activist Support Circle is holding an ongoing public gathering the last Wednesday of each month — at the Friends Meeting Hall located at 1440 Harvard St. in Santa Monica, which is located two blocks east of 26th Street, one-half block south of Santa Monica Boulevard. Each monthly gathering will begin at 7 p.m. sharp, and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. For further information, contact the Activist Support Circle at (310) 399-1000.
