Into the Woods The Santa Monica College Theatre Department presents this contemporary classic American musical at its Hangar Stage at the Santa Monica Airport. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, “Into The Woods” tells the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack the Giant Killer, Rapunzel and the Baker and His Wife. It all begins as a lively irreverent romp through fairy tale land but winds up teaching an important lesson about community responsibility and the legacies we leave to our children. For tickets, call (310) 434-3000.
Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday at 1 p.m. Hanger Stage 2800 Airport Ave. Free parking http://events.smc.edu/theater.html"
