Frustrated with not having enough parking available during the Main Street Farmers Market on Sundays, some merchants have suggested that City Hall open the beach lots to market patrons for free.
The beach lots directly off of Main Street would be available for market shoppers free of charge from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., under the Main Street Merchants Association proposal. Apparently City Hall officials were receptive to the idea earlier this year, but the proposal has stalled.
This week, Q-Line wants to know, “Should the beach lots be available for the Main Street Farmers Market? If not, what should be done about the lack of parking on Main Street on Sundays?”
