The Activist Support Circle monthly public gathering will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 31, and will include an opening message by singer-songwriter and peace activist Stephen Longfellow Fiske.
The gathering will take place at the Friends Meeting Hall, located at 1440 Harvard St. in Santa Monica.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the gathering begins at 7 p.m. The Activist Support Circle is a support group for progressive activists. Organizers say the purpose of the monthly gatherings are to guard against activist-related burnout, share activist-related frustrations, and learn helpful coping skills and ideas from other activists.
The gatherings are free and there is free parking on-site. For further information, call the Activist Support Circle at (310) 399-1000.
