✆ “I am a long-time Santa Monica resident who is calling in response to your prompt about what must be included in the panel’s plan how homelessness can most effectively be eradicated in the next 10 years. I think one of the biggest things that we each as individual Santa Monica citizens can do is vote to change the composition of our city’s leadership and government. This entrenched group of people that we have had for many years, the reelection of incumbents that goes on year after year has led directly to this situation not being better controlled. I think we owe it to ourselves to look at new candidates with new ideas, and I also think we owe it to ourselves to hold people more accountable for change and not keep reinstating the same tired philosophies and strategies that have not proven effective. So everybody vote in November and try and bring in some new ideas and some new leadership.”
