Some of Santa Monica’s greatest chefs are gathering at The Buffalo Club next week to cook up some support for Hurricane Katrina victims.

They’ll gather on Sept. 27 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. to raise money from restaurants, local officials, celebrities, corporations and Santa Monica residents. The fundraising goal of $100,000 will be given to the American Red Cross.

Participating Santa Monica chefs will include Josie Le Balch of Josie; Josiah Citrin of Melisse; Patrick Healy of The Buffalo Club; Raphael Lunetta of Jiraffe; Hans Rockenwagner of Rockenwagner and Piero Selvaggio of Valentino. The chefs will prepare the sounds and tastes of New Orleans, and will honor the strength and resilience of the landmark city and the neighboring Gulf states who were devastated by the natural disaster.

For reservations or information, call (310) 450-8600, ext. 0. You also can visit www.chefs4aid.com. There will be an all-inclusive $200 per person tax deductible donation with proceeds going to The American Red Cross.
