With actors and top-notch musical performances, the Jammin’ in the Canyon festival fundraiser is the fall highlight for many Santa Monicans.

This year, Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle will co-host, with special guest appearances to be announced. Legendary ska band The English Beat is set to perform this year, as well as a cappella group The Blanks. Past guests have included: Terence Blanchard, David Crosby, Randy Newman, John Densmore, Paul Oscher and The Untouchables.

Jammin’ will be held on Oct. 15 at the Canyon Charter School Field, 421 Entrada Dr., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from Jammin’ benefit music, art and enrichment programs at Canyon Charter Elementary School, an LAUSD public school.
