You may know the words to many of the Beatles’ songs, but do you know what the violin plays in “Scrambled Eggs?”
Music director Steve Wight dissects the Beatles’ music in the first of the 2005- 2006 “Stevenings” series at 7 p.m. on Oct. 15. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Santa Monica (18th Street and Arizona Avenue) hosts the event titled “The Music and Recordings of the Beatles.”
Wight has composed music for shows like Saturday Night Live and Cartoon Funhouse. Wight will discuss how tonic major/minor key changes are used in various Beatles’ songs, among other topics. Admission is free.
