A dialogue on immigration issues, including what policies are needed and other key concerns, will be led by Mosesi Escalante, a community activist working in the Montebello area, and hosted by the Social Concerns Council of First United Methodist Church of Santa Monica.
Escalante has worked with the United Methodist California-Pacific Conference Latino ministry and will lead a discussion about the realities of immigration in our community — legal and illegal, documented and undocumented — and how the church and the community can connect to this area of concern in a relevant way.
The discussion will take place on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 11:45 a.m. in the Fireside Room at the First United Methodist Church, 1008 11th Street at Washington Avenue in Santa Monica. Free underground parking is available across the street on 11th Street.
