In the dark about the propositions and measures on the ballot for the November election? The Santa Monica/Westside YWCA is here to help. On Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the YWCA Santa Monica/Westside will be holding a proposition party at its facility at 2019 14th St. in Santa Monica. The free event is open to all and is designed to help voters learn more about the measures on the Nov. 8 ballot. Attendees will get a non-partisan outlook on who is funding each measure, what the fiscal impact will be and what a “yes” or “no” vote means. Brief discussion time at the end of the presentation also will be available. To RSVP call the YWCA at (310) 452-3881. Readings extend Botanicum’s repertory season
