Project Angel Food will honor Sean Combs and Jessica Lange for their contributions to international style, the fight against AIDS and other serious illnesses during the Dec. 2 opening night gala for Divine Design 2004.

The charity also will honor People magazine with a “Corporate Humanitarian” award for its longtime coverage of the HIV/AIDS crisis and the struggle people face with serious illnesses. Project Angel Food will present the awards before opening 30,000 square feet of deeply discounted designer clothing and accessories to the public for four days of shopping.

Each year Divine Design, Los Angeles’ premier fashion and design shopping event, takes over a massive hangar at the Santa Monica Air Center. Dozens of top designers donate thousands of home, beauty and spa products for sale starting at more than 50 percent off retail prices. All of the proceeds from the event support Project Angel Food’s mission to provide life-sustaining meals to Los Angeles County residents facing HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses.

Schedule of events: All events take place at Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Air Center, 3021 Airport Dr. in Santa Monica.

Dec. 2 (6 p.m.): Gala opening night: Exclusive preview shopping with Hollywood’s elite prior to public sale, gala dinner and awards event. Tickets: $250 to $1,000 each.
