ROAD REPAIR Elected leaders are expected to pay $450,000 to a company that will design the construction project on two major thoroughfares in the city — Cloverfield Boulevard and 20th Street.

The cost estimate of the project is $2.9 million. It includes street and sidewalk repairs, as well as light installments to make the high-traffic area between the I- 10 and Pico Boulevard safer, city staff said.

Amphion Environmental Inc. will be contracted to design the construction project that begins fall of 2007.
