Main Street invites its friends, neighbors and visitors to join in its party extravaganza to celebrate the holidays, on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Over 35 businesses on Main Street will be having parties featuring holiday beverages, snacks, sweets, door prizes and more. Most of the parties will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Check www.mainstreetsm.com for details.) The traditional Main Street tree lighting festivities will begin at 6 p.m. on the lawn of the California Heritage Museum at 2612 Main, just south of Ocean Park Blvd. This year will feature The Caroling Company and Santa.

After the tree lighting there will be a candlelight walk from the museum to Edgemar’s famous Shopping Cart holiday tree, where there will be more entertainment from The Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers. Then the Rockers, Caroling Company, additional carolers, and Santa will stroll the street and entertain at the parties after the tree lighting.
