The Salvation Army Southern California this weekend will distribute more than 1,000 food and toy baskets in a drive-through setting to pre-selected low-income families. Disney “voluntEARS” will help distribute the baskets and holiday cheer.
Each family will receive food — enough for a holiday meal — and gifts for all members of the family. There will be live music, a mini-snow forest and a snow machine.
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 900 West James M. Wood Blvd. From 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be carolers and the Salvation Brass Band will perform.
