Buck Fush. That’s the theme for the “Buck Fush New Year’s Eve Comedy Showcase and Dance Party,” which will take place on Friday, Dec. 31, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Church in Ocean Park, 235 S. Hill St.
Highlighting the evening’s entertainment will be the “Buck Fush Comedy Showcase,” featuring comedians Rick Overton, Cathy Ladman and David Zasloff. Also featured will be live music and dancing with rock band Working Class Heroes and a special folk music performance by “Singer-Songfighter” Ross Altman. There also will be a “Buck Fush Midnight Candlelighting Ceremony” to usher in the new year in a satirical, yet politically determined manner, party organizers say.
Admission is $30 per person and $20 for low-income individuals. Admission price includes a complimentary buffet dinner, complimentary champagne and complimentary reserved parking. Doors open and the buffet will be served at 7 p.m. The program will begin at 8 p.m.
The party is being sponsored by and proceeds will benefit the Alliance for Survival peace and environmental organization.
For further information and advance reservations, call the Alliance for Survival at (310) 399-1000.
