A local, one-woman workshop production is being extended into December.
The Ruskin Group Theatre announces that it is extending the production “A Distant Memory,” Jennifer Field’s one-woman autobiographical account of her intensive recovery from a devastating car accident at 17.
Performances are being added Dec. 4, 11 and 18 at Ruskin Group Theatre, located at 3000 Airport Ave. at Santa Monica Airport.
The great-great-granddaughter of Marshall Field, founder of the Marshall Field department store chain, Jennifer Field was a nationally recognized and award-winning competitive show jumper at the time of the accident. Her piece takes the audience on a journey through her day-to-day fight for physical independence, as she ignored her doctors’ prognosis and, with the help of her mother, combed the globe in search of treatments that would help her regain her life.
Field, who graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in art history from Wheaton College in Massachusetts, is currently a second-year Meisner technique acting student at the Ruskin School of Acting and is also an accomplished painter.
Tickets for “A Distant Memory” are $10. For more information call (310) 397-3244. A Fab Four scramble
