Kudos to you and your staff for the community profile on Big Dean’s legend T.J. Sorady (SMDP, Sept. 18, page 1). Santa Monica is a community and as such, it is based upon friendships foraged both personal and business. I moved to Santa Monica 11 years ago and did not know one person. I can still remember that first afternoon I ventured down to the Santa Monica Pier alone and found Big Dean’s. I would come away with a family and in T.J. Sorady a true friend. He showed kindness to a new city resident beyond a mere potential patron and I received a brother I could always count on.
Thank you for your piece on one of this city’s finest treasures. Cheers to you T.J.
