Big Blue Bus will launch a series of service enhancements beginning Sunday, Aug. 9, that the agency says are designed to make riding easier, faster and more convenient.

Riders will benefit from expanded service hours and improved access and connectivity on several routes serving the UCLA campus, the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center and the Expo/Sepulveda Metro Rail E Line Station. The updated routes are Route 1, Route 2, Route 8, Route 9, Route 17 and Route 18.

The agency said the changes are intended to provide smoother transfers and more reliable travel throughout the area, reducing wait times for riders.

The enhancements are part of Big Blue Bus's ongoing Brighter Blue service improvement plan, which focuses on making public transit a more appealing alternative to driving and supports Santa Monica's commitment to a cleaner, greener future.

Riders can use the agency's trip planner or download the Transit app to plan trips and view the most up-to-date travel information. The customer service team is available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at (310) 451-5444.
