The sounds of top musicians and artists will emanate this Saturday from the Barkar Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport.
The second annual “Night With The Friends of El Faro Fundraiser” is a concert fundraiser to benefit the Casa Hogar El Faro 2 Orphanage in Tijuana, Baja Calif.
The event will feature musical performances by Sheryl Crow, Dwight Yoakam, Vonda Shepard and The Dan Band. Special guests will include celebrity entertainers Kathy Najimy, Sharon Lawrence, Maria Bello and Andrew Keegan, to name a few.
There also will be a DJ and dancing, silent auction, photo exhibit, as well as food and drink provided by a variety of vendors including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Red Bull and many more.
The event will be held May 8 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Barkar Hangar, 3021 Airport Ave.
Casa Hogar El Faro 2 is home to 100 children, ages ranging from birth to 18 years old. Officials say it is in dire need of financial support to provide the basic necessities — nutritional food, adequate water and sanitation — for its children.
Tickets are $100 and can be purchased by calling (949) 476-1144, ext. 311, or by visiting www.cora-zondevida.org. The ticket price is tax-deductible.
