Calling all couch potatoes

The benefits of activity, particularly walking/jogging are well known. To this end, the Santa Monica Track Club, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society (Santa Monica Relay for Life Program), have formed a “walking/jogging” group open to anyone, at any age and fitness level.

There is no charge for this program. We offer walking/jogging technique instruction, as well as coaching as to the mileage amount per week, frequency and regularity.

We currently meet four times per week — 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9 a.m. Sunday at San Vicente Boulevard and Ocean Avenue in Palisades Park. This is an invaluable opportunity for anyone, particularly those who are sedentary and wish to embark on a fitness for life program.
