UCLA Healthcare has announced the appointment of Posie Carpenter as chief administrative officer at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.
Most recently, Carpenter was director of nursing at the 337-bed medical center, which serves as a vital part of UCLA Healthcare’s primary-care network. She came to Santa Monica- UCLA in 2004 from the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, where she was director of surgical services.
“I’m thrilled to be taking on this challenge at a very exciting time in Santa Monica-UCLA’s long and illustrious history,” Carpenter said. “We are about to begin our much-anticipated partnership with Orthopaedic Hospital and are making excellent progress with our rebuilding project. Both developments will be extremely beneficial to the Westside community and beyond.”
