DRIVE TIME In the third payment approved Tuesday, City Hall has agreed to help build a private driveway for a residence at 161 Ocean Park Boulevard, City Attorney Marsha Moutrie said.
When street improvements were done along Ocean Park Boulevard, the residents at the location had to use the handicapped-accessible curb cut on the sidewalk to use their driveway. The property was built along an old rail line.
Under terms of the agreement, City Hall will pick up the tab for the first $40,000, and there will be a 50/50 split for the next $70,000, with the property owner covering the next $40,000. The project is not expected to cost more than $150,000, but if it does, the extra cost would be split between City Hall and the residents, Moutrie said.
