Having read carefully Dr. Marciano’s reflective article on Barack Obama’s move to the center of the political spectrum, I was astonished by Mr. Ratner’s diatribe attacking positions on Israel that Dr. Marciano had not even mentioned.
According to Ratner one would think the entire article dealt with Israeli policy toward the Palestinians — rather than just a few lines (quite accurate in my thinking) in a long column, most of which pertains to Iraq.
The main thrust of the Marciano column, it seems to me, is that Obama is compromising or unclear about crucial issues as he moves ever rightward to win the November election.
Where is the change we can truly believe in?
