Members of the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club can now take individualized lessons, including video editing, graphic design, web design, animation, music editing and more, in the new tech and learning center.
The center also has a new sound-proof recording studio where members can take music lessons, such as drum class, guitar class and keyboarding. They also get an opportunity to learn how to record, mix and edit their music.
Kids can play video games together on one of two large TV screens, and a state-of-the-art surround-sound theater system with speakers are all around the center. Movies are shown on a large-screen TV.
“Where else do you see teenage kids waiting in line eager to take a class?” said Allan Young, president and chief executive officer at the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club.
