The third annual Activist Support Circle Unity Picnic will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12, at Clover Park, featuring Los Angeles City Council member Bill Rosendahl as special guest speaker. The public picnic will take place from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., and all progressive activists — and those who are considering becoming activists — are invited to attend and bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share.
Clover Park is located at 2600 Ocean Park Blvd. Activists are also invited to perform music, poetry or other entertainment at the picnic.
The Activist Support Circle is an emotional support group for progressive activists that began in February 2005.
