It has been brought to my attention that some misinformation is being circulated about my plans for the space located at 2901 Ocean Park Boulevard and I want to set the record straight.
My dream and ultimate plan is to operate a local neighborhood family restaurant. The menu will feature some of the freshest, healthiest, cleanest hamburgers in the nation. In addition to hamburgers, turkey burgers, and veggie burgers. We will have five or six different salads, chicken sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, ice cream sundaes and milkshakes, always served with two straws. We will be a family-style restaurant with a vague resemblance of the 1950’s burger shop, but with a higher quality of food, a localized clientele and an updated look.
My intention is to bring the neighborhood something new. I can assure you I have no intention to and will not operate any sort of nightclub, bar/lounge, or the like in this neighborhood. As a member of the community, I understand what this tight-knit neighborhood is about. I do not intend to grow a business that will not fully serve to the needs of the neighborhood.
We will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. We be maintaining the seating capacity of the previous restaurant. We have applied for a beer and wine license only to enhance and to add to the variety of our menu. I can assure you that I love the entire Sunset Park area and would never want to disturb or upset what it stands for.
I am hoping to have our establishment up and running by the end of June or early July. I welcome any questions that you may have and I hope that you give us a try when we open.
