Diamond luncheon held for young teeth By Daily Press staff

Published:

The 55th annual fund-raiser for the benefit of dental treatment of needy youngsters in the community is being held on Sunday, March 9.

Sponsored by the Santa Monica Breakfast Club’s Welfare Fund, the annual Diamond luncheon will be held at the California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey.

Funds received from the luncheon will go towards children’s dental needs in local schools. Dentists in the community volunteer their time to go to local schools and screen children for dental problems. The children with dental needs are referred by the Breakfast Club to the UCLA Dental Clinic for care.

This year, Margie and Dick Moore will be honored at the luncheon. Margie Moore has spent countless hours organizing dentists to examine the teeth of children in schools, as well as coordinating the program with personnel at the schools.

There will be a reception and silent auction at 11:30 a.m.
