The Open Fist Theatre Company presents an Old West interpretation of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” opening Fri., Feb. 23. Director Arne Zaslove’s take on the classic play sets the story in the 1860s frontier, where the King Ranch is the largest and most powerful of the ranches and where struggles over wealth, power and land are settled with guns.
The cast of ‘Macbeth’ features Adrian Sparks as the Thane of Cawdor, Lisa Glass as Lady Macbeth, Bjorn Johnson as Macduff, Joe Hulser as Banquo and Teresa Willis, Maia Madison and Ann Stocking as the Witches.
Performances for “Macbeth” are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $20 for all performances, except for Sundays, which are Pay-What-You-Can. Opening Night Gala Tickets are $25. The Open Fist Theatre is located at 6209 Santa Monica Blvd., in Hollywood. For tickets, call (323) 882-6912 or visit www.open-fist.org.
