‘Drive-in’ at the pier features ‘Willy Wonka’

It’s that time of the week to take in a flick at the pier. The third movie screening on the Santa Monica Pier tonight will feature “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”

The “drive-in” screenings throughout August were organized by the Santa Monica Film Festival, which raises money for the “Cancer Relief Fund,” although the movies are free to the public.

All of the proceeds from concessions and chair rentals will go to “The Cancer Relief Fund,” which gives money directly to cancer victims and their families.

Next week’s showing of “Grease,” will be shown on a large screen at the pier. Movie time is 8 p.m.
