Get your groove on this Thursday to fight AIDS. On Thursday, April 28, Los Angeles and Orange County residents will be eating out for a good cause, and this year, members of the “dance party on wheels” — the Friday Night Skate Club — will be joining them. Residents are invited to grab theirr skates and join their 1,000 watts of block rockin’ beats as they blast down the streets of Santa Monica.
Friday Night Skate will show their support for Aid For AIDS by adding a Thursday Night Skate to their normal weekly ride. Destination: “Dining Out For Life participating restaurant” James Beach in Venice. Friday night rides bring anywhere from 25 to 100 skaters, and organizer Dan Benveniste hopes to have a large turnout for the additional skate.
Los Angeles and Orange County residents can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at any participating restaurant and make a difference.
Friday Night Skate is a weekly group skate that doubles as a dance party on wheels. Featuring a diverse crowd of skaters whooping and cheering, they are one of the loudest and most animated group skates in the world. Log on to www.fri-daynightskate.org.
