Entertainment briefs for the week in Santa Monica

Published:

It’s another big week for theatre in Santa Monica. This weekend we’ve got several new theatrical offerings. The Powerhouse Theatre will be closing its production of John Patrick Shanley’s “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” and “Agamemnon” plays its last weekend at City Garage. “Pericles, Prince of Tyre” and “King Leer” continue their runs at the Miles Playhouse; “Bye Bye Birdie” is still packing them in at Morgan Wixson Theatre, while “Don We Now (Our Gay Apparel)” by Tara Redepenning will be performed Sunday night at 7 p.m. at The Next Stage New Play Festival on Morgan-Wixson’s outdoor stage. And if that’s not enough for you, well read on and you’ll find a whole assortment plays for you and the whole family. And be sure to read the last paragraph of this week’s edition for a special treat.
