Continuing a 21-year tradition, Santa Monica Fire Fighters Local 1109 announced their “Holiday Gift Program” for the city’s low-income families.
Once again they will give Santa a hand and award gift certificates to help families in need complete their holiday shopping. More than 100 children will receive presents this year.
The pre-selected families have been invited to pick up their gifts on Third Street Promenade and Broadway Sunday, Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A fire engine will be on display, and many volunteers will be out to greet the families and wish them a happy holiday.
