Santa Monica College is offering a free lecture, “Global Migration & the Rise of the Service Economy,” at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Art Complex Room 214, 1900 Pico Blvd. The talk, by Dr. Ali Modarres, is the second in SMC’s fall “Global Connections Lecture Series.” Seating is on a first-arrival basis.
Modarres is the associate director of the Edmund G. “Pat” Brown Institute of Public Affairs and professor in the Department of Geography and Urban Analysis at California State University, Los Angeles. For information, call (310) 434-4303.
