Bergamot Café, known for its daytime cuisine, at artsy Bergamot Station in Santa Monica now provides a nighttime venue for showcasing new performers practicing their comedic talents.
In an outdoor space, with free parking, adults of all ages will enjoy this summer’s third showcase of original and edgy humor. Bergamot Café Comedy Night takes place on Friday, Aug. 12, at 8:30 p.m. on the Café Patio Stage, 2525 Michigan Ave.
Premiered in June, Bergamot Café Comedy Night is drawing an audience of couples and singles — 21 and older — who don’t want to pay a cover charge; a two-drink minimum is required to enjoy an evening of what’s been described as a hip, young comedy and light fare in the great outdoors.
The gate opens at 7:30 p.m. for cocktails and appetizers. The laughs begin at 8:30 p.m. Nonprofits benefit from $30K in donations
