The Santa Monica Chorus will be hosting its Fall Dance Party on Nov. 1. The event begins at 8 p.m. when the Chorus, with special guest quartets Proposition 4 and Lovin’ Tuneful, will perform a half-hour cabaret-style show.
At 8:30 p.m., the DJ will start spinning favorite dance tunes and guests are invited to dance the night away. Karaoke will be available throughout the evening, giving guests a chance to display their vocal styling. Single guests are encouraged to play the “dance card match-up.” A no-host bar and concessions will be available.
The Fall Dance Party will be held at the American Legion Hall, 5309 Sepulveda Blvd. (near the intersection of Sepulveda and Jefferson Blvds.) in Culver City.
Tickets are $10 per person and will be available at the door. If you would like to purchase tickets in advance, you may call Nicki Agner at (310) 839-7947.
As the old standard, In the Mood (which the Chorus will be performing) goes: “You’ve got to do some dancin’ to get in the mood!” Santa Monica Chorus is an award-winning chapter of Sweet Adelines International, “a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop (four-part a cappella) harmony through education and performance.”
