The first Brentwood Bash, a free community festival, will bring food, shopping, entertainment and family activities to San Vicente Boulevard on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the eastbound side of San Vicente Boulevard between Montana Avenue and Barrington Avenue. Organizers describe it as the first community event of its kind in the Los Angeles neighborhood.
More than 40 local vendors and businesses are expected to take part, along with restaurants, community organizations, entertainment, family-friendly activities and a petting zoo. Several vendors from Santa Monica will join Brentwood businesses at the event.
The festival was created to bring the neighborhood together while supporting and highlighting local businesses, restaurants, organizations and community partners, organizers said.
The Brentwood Bash is being organized by Alexis Pappas, Carolyn Jordan, the office of Los Angeles City Councilwoman Traci Park and Barbara Roll. It is presented in partnership with community supporters including the CD11 Foundation, Vicente Foods and the Brentwood Homeowners Association, which is marking its 80th year of service.
Organizers said they hope to establish the Brentwood Bash as an annual tradition for the neighborhood.
The event is free and open to the public. Families and residents from Brentwood and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend.
