DURING THE BAGHDAD LEG OF OBAMA’S summer Presidential Gumball Rally, the publicly putative “anti-war candidate” was privately pulling a bait and switch on the foreign policy car lot.
A Sept. 11, 2008 interview with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in the pan- Arab daily,Asharq Alawast, related that Obama privately demanded that the Iraqi government stop all negotiations to effectively delay the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq.
The Iraqi foreign minister quoted the Car- Salesman-in-Chief as insisting that the Iraqi government, “… wait until the coming of a new administration next year on [these] issues and matters”
Additionally, according to FM Zebari, this theme was a key “demand” during Obama’s eight-hour road trip into Baghdad with the Iraqi leadership. Obama further insisted that the do-nothing Democrat Congress be included in the negotiations.Obama has also declared the current war as “illegal” despite its legal UN mandate, thus legitimizing Saddam Hussein’s carnivorous regime, while questioning the present government’s authenticity on face value. By that legal logic, doesn’t that make the current government therefore “illegal?”
How does Obama then expect to negotiate the turns in the global backstretch with a foreign government that participated in an “illegal”war that facilitated its birth?
Obama has never denied the substance of the Iraqi FM’s statements.
Let me get this straight, a neophyte Senatorial road jockey who burned rubber in launching his anti-war presidential candidacy has privately insisted and demanded from his hosts for accommodations of his unsanctioned opinions?
And isn’t Barack’s “Backdoor Doctrine” at odds with his publicly stated raison d’etre for presidential pretensions while denigrating the heavy lifting of the U.S.and Iraqi governments?
The Iraqi foreign minister was clear that the current negotiations were in the interests of his people and not to the DUI political ambitions of Barack Hussein Obama. It’s good to see, however, that Obama now has sobered up and is in current unison with Dubya that the “Surge”has worked.Obama’s looking like “four more years of Bush”every day.
It’s also considered poor taste and manners to make insistent demands while a guest in someone else’s home. Obviously Mama Obama had ever shown Obama the rules of the road in this respect, especially lacking an open lane from the State Department to do so. Obama’s behavior is akin to going out on a date with a girl while asking her mom if you can use her car and then using the back seat as you please.
Looks like Speed Racer for Change ploughed his Prius through the pumps in Gasoline Alley on this one. Well, so much for overseas Grand Prix racing, how does Obama hit the hairpin turn on the domestic financial Brickyard? He agrees with Dubya’s Federal bailout of the crash on the tracks at the Wall Street S&P 500.
After some initial poll positioning from Obama about throttling some more horsepower into his own financial power train, he relented and took another, less sticky, back seat to the Republican plan that rescues banks and other financial institutions.Would it be an inconvenient truth that, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, Barack “Crash”Obama has taken in $24 million from these institutions through his bundlers connected to his campaign? I laud his loyalty to this segment of war profiteers and billionaires who chanted, “Four more years! Four more years!”
Another open secret is that prior to the Lehman Bros. driving into the ditch on Monday, it contributed $385,000 in gas money to Obama’s campaign Pinto. McCain, however, feels that all of Wall Street should get thrown under the wheels of the Free Market Express.
I agree. Kill them all; let the free market sort them out.
Of course, you wouldn’t have guessed about Black Monday’s Darwinian debacle from Obama’s Hollywood celebrity carnival feted on Tuesday night. The glitterati of Tinsel Town sat down at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel to a $28,500/plate banquet with Community- Organizer-in-Chief Obama followed by a $2,500/ticket concert by Barbara Streisand who warbled “Happy Days Are Here Again.”
Currently,Obama has spent $377 million on his campaign yet has a picayune 2 percent advantage in the polls. He has outspent McCain five to two and is getting all the traction of a man ice skating uphill.Would you pick a financial advisor that realized a meager 2 percent net gain on $377 million? How can Obama say he has the stick on the downshifts of the economy when he can’t brake the excesses within his own campaign to demonstrate otherwise? Would you buy a used car, foreign or domestic, from this man? You wouldn’t be buying a “lemon” so much as an orchard.
